    Land of People Inc. Privacy Policy and Terms

    This privacy policy and terms is the written agreement between Land of People Inc. and the "Signee". Land of People Inc. is also written as LoP on the privacy policy and terms. I ("Signee") must thoroughly read through the privacy policy and terms and understand the contents before creating a membership account. Creating an account with false information is a violation of the privacy policy and terms. 

    LoP Membership: A LoP member must pay respect to fellow members. The member's belt color, name, membership number, date of admission, training frequency, and leadership point will be shown on the MEMBERS section of LoP website. The member's leadership point is equivalent to the number of new members that the member recruits directly or indirectly for LoP. Since LoP is an organization that evangelizes Taekwondo patterns for the purpose of promoting healthy living, Member's leadership point is evaluated in the selection process for LoP instructors of Taekwondo patterns. There is no monthly membership fee for the member. However, an annual membership is available to any individual who agrees to the privacy policy and terms. The annual membership fee of non-refundable $100 (US Currency) is required to become the member. The member can learn up to 50 Taekwondo patterns. The Member must purchase Taekwondo uniforms and belts (white collar uniform for color belt and black collar uniform for black belt). The Taekwondo uniform must have no writing on the back. If the member has difficulty purchasing Taekwondo uniforms, LoP can be contacted at [email protected] for help. However, the member is not required to wear a Taekwondo uniform during a LoP session or a belt promotion test. The member is allowed to wear comfortable clothes for the session or the test. There is no fee for the test. In the event that the member fails the test, the member must wait at least 15 days following the previous test date before rescheduling every subsequent test. LoP black belt members are required to wait for at least one year before taking their next belt promotion test. LoP has right to promote or demote any member to different color belts based on its discretion. LoP is not affiliated with World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) or International Taekwon-do Federation (ITF). In the event that the weather condition is unfavorable, the session can be cancelled. LoP reserves the right to cancel any session or change any instructor at anytime without making any notification. However, LoP will post the session date, time, location, and a cancellation or a change of schedule on the NOTICE section of LoP website at least 3 hours prior to every session. Thus, it is member's responsibility to ascertain the session schedule prior to attending the session. The member must fill in the name fields and click the submit button on the NOTICE section of LoP website at least 24 hours prior to attending the session. If the member is unable to submit the member's name, the member must contact LoP via email or phone at least 24 hours prior to attending the session. In the event that the member fails to make a notification about the member's willingness to attend, the session may not be available for the member to participate. LoP reserves the right to remove, without question or investigation, any member who violates the privacy policy and terms. The member's LoP membership can be cancelled at anytime upon the member's request. The membership information will be removed from LoP website upon the cancellation request via LoP email address, [email protected]. 

    Becoming A Member: Once I submit this online form of the privacy policy and terms, I automatically become a LoP long distance member. Once I make the annual membership fee of non-refundable $100 (US Currency) and sign the privacy policy and terms in person, I become a full LoP member and my membership account number will be posted on the MEMBERS section of LoP website. For my convenience, I may read the privacy policy and terms or other web pages of LoP website in other languages using Google translate. However, accuracy of Google translate cannot be verified. Land of People only validates the privacy policy and terms and the contents of LoP websites published in English. LoP is not responsible for any of my misinterpretation caused by Google Translate. I must fill this form of the privacy policy and terms in English.

    Long Distance Members: Long distance members are also written as LDM on the privacy policy and terms. Individuals, who cannot physically attend the LoP session due to the long distance between their home and LoP training sites, can join LoP by creating their accounts as long distance members. LDM can practice Taekwondo patterns by utilizing any available Taekwondo pattern video on the Internet. LDM are not required to wear a Taekwondo uniform during the video recording of the relevant Taekwondo patterns. In order for LDM to promote to a higher ranking belt, LDM must send two video clips that contain both front and rear views of the relevant Taekwondo patterns to [email protected]. LDM must demonstrate the relevant Taekwondo patterns listed on the INFORMATION section of LoP website. The Taekwondo patterns of LDM will be reviewed, and a higher ranking belt will be granted upon passing the online evaluation. The Taekwondo pattern video clips can be used and posted on LoP social media sites without any authorization or compensation. LDM cannot be promoted to black belt member unless LDM pass the black belt promotion tests in person at a designated testing site. Please note that LDM is not considered as a full member and that LDM will be posted separately on the LDM section of LoP website. LDM can become a full LoP member upon making the payment of annual membership fee and sign this privacy policy and terms agreement in person.

    COVID-19 Liability Waiver: I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I further acknowledge that LoP can not guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, LoP staffs or instructors, and other LoP members and their families.
    I voluntarily seek services provided by LoP and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending my session.
    I attest that:
    I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
    I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.
    I have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days.
    I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
    I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.
    I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

    I hereby release and agree to hold LoP harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of LoP, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from LoP. I understand that this release discharges LoP from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Land of People with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from LoP. This liability waiver and release extends to LoP together with all owners, partners, and employees.

    DISCLAIMER: Since all activities of members at Land of People are completely on a voluntary basis, meaning I have a choice if I want to participate in or withdraw from any activity of LoP, LoP is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any injury, death, or loss of property to any person suffered while warming up, practicing, traveling, playing, or participating in Taekwondo Practicing Activities for any reason whatsoever, including ordinary negligence.

    The present privacy policy and terms can be changed or amended. The changed or amended privacy policy and terms will be added and posted on the JOIN: BECOME A MEMBER section of LoP website. LoP will notify the changed or amended privacy policy and terms via email. It is members' responsibility to check any update made on our privacy policy and terms.
